Minimum required permissions for Fixed Assets

It is important to know that when refreshing Sandbox and Implementation companies from the Product Company, the password related to the web-services user (for Intacct) will be overwritten with the Production Password for the same user. This may cause Fixed Assets to stop working.


To correct this issue, please follow one of the following options:

Updating the password

  1. Log in to the Sandbox or Implementation company.

  2. Navigate to Fixed Assets > FA Configuration and find the “Provisioning” section.

  3. Confirm that the XML Gateway User for this company is “xmlgw-FA.”

  4. Update the XML Gateway Password field to match the password in the production environment.

Resetting the password

  1. Log in to the Sandbox or Implementation company.

  2. Navigate to Company > Admin > Web Service Users and click Edit for the “xmlgw-FA” user ID.

  3. Click Reset password for the web-services user “xmlgw-FA.” This will send a new password to the listed email.

  4. After receiving the new password, update the password in the XML Gateway Password field using the steps from the “Updating the password” steps.
