Adding User Defined Dimensions (UDDs) to Lease Groups

UDDs can be also included in a Lease Group to be utilized like other dimensions within Lease Accounting. When journal entries and payment transactions are generated by the Lease Accounting module, the UDDs assigned to the Lease Group will be included within the transaction lines.

To utilize UDDs within Lease Accounting Lease Groups, a user must first create the relationship of the UDD to a Lease Group by taking the following steps:

1. Go to Lease Accounting > Lease Groups.

2. Select Object Definition in the top right corner.

3. Select Relationships > New Relationship.

4. A list of related objects will now be visible. From here, you will be able to choose the UDDs with which you wish to create a relationship with Lease Groups. In the Type column, enter Custom, which will pull up the custom objects.

5. From the Related Objects list, select the UDD object you wish to relate to Lease Groups and click Next.

6. In the next screen, scroll down to Relationship Type and select One Lease Group to One (UDD Name).

7. Scroll down and select Save.

The UDD to Lease Group relationship has now been created. A new section, User Defined Dimensions, will appear within the Lease Group, and the UDD should be available when creating or editing a Lease Group going forward. A user can utilize the above steps to add new UDDs to Lease Groups in the future.
